New research from Concordia University affirms that coaches can and do have an important moral influence on their athletes - leading to important questions about how coaches can harness that influence to promote positive moral growth of their athletes. The study found that coaches have a unique and powerful relationship with their athletes. Getting coaches to understand their power and use it to influence positive moral development is vitally important given the massive reach of youth sports in American and Canadian culture.
