A recent study suggests an overwhelming majority of NCAA sports programs are not adhering to national asthma guidelines, established by the National Institutes of Health, which emphasize education, management protocols and medical professional involvement for their athletes with asthma. Although the study does not address scholastic and club sports, it certainly raises questions. Parents, coaches, and administrators at every level need to take a fresh look at how we are handling our athletes with asthma.
When it comes to sickness, hospitals should have the initiative to educate people on the latest and different terms or ways to learn about it.

People should have enough awareness with asthma. Many takes this for granted but this can lead to a serious problem.

Thank you for shared information
People who suffer from asthma have air passages that tend to be extremely sensitive and
susceptible to twitchiness. Asthma patients more often than not react to certain things
which in turn jumpstart asthmatic symptoms.

Indeed, special care must be given to athletes with special conditions like asthma. They should not be discouraged to play, rather they must be given more care and encouragement in order to build their self-confidence. I remember when I was playing basketball in our team. One of my team mate had asthma, but she's a dead shot on the basket. She played for the last 5 sminutes and she nailed the winning shot. Even an asthmatic player can make a big difference.
