PositiveSports.net is the online home of the Positive Sports Project, a community service initiative of Community Health Solutions, Inc. The mission of the Positive Sports Project is to help adults promote positive youth development through sports. We accomplish our mission by providing educational resources for coaches, parents, program directors, and others interested in promoting positive youth development through sports.
We started the Positive Sports Project with the inspiration of the Arizona Sports Summit Accord. This national document was signed by virtually all of the major sports associations in the late 1990s. A core principle of the Accord is that adult leaders of youth sports have a duty to teach positive life skills through sports. We started the Positive Sports Project to help people fulfill this duty.
Our hope and vision is that youth sports leaders and parents will use the products available from the Positive Sports Project and the other resources you will find on this site to strengthen youth sports programs at every level. Together we can restore the positive culture of sports and help our young athletes succeed in athletics and beyond.
Thanks for all you do to promote positive youth development through sports!
